FOR ASSISTANTS – COMMUNICATION WITH GRACE LEE
“Communication works for those who work at it.” – John Powell
Communication is a natural human tendency that helps us to not only understand but navigate the environments we live in. We are continuously communicating through the words we speak or write, the non-verbal cues when silently looking or pointing at a child, and even to the many facial expressions we may make, especially in the Primary environment. Communication is constant and we work on it by practicing the myriad of ways we do communicate, just like the children. This workshop for will explore the importance of communication in the Primary environment from the adult and child’s perspective, while also introducing practical adult exercises and tips on how one can work on communication skills with their guide and children.
